Description

Immortal. Alone. Dangerous.

Cora is the immortal Greek goddess Persephone, living in a Malibu beach house in the twenty-first century. No matter how much therapy she undergoes, nothing eases the pain of her husband's recent murder.

Until Gabriel Cartwright walks into her life.

Gabe is a prim and proper East Coast realtor, hired to manage her move to Toronto. He's sweet, kind, and seemingly human. But beneath the surface, he belongs to a dwindling race of nymphs hunted for centuries by the ancient Olympian gods and goddesses—a race Cora has sworn to protect at any cost.

She didn't choose him by accident; she chose him because she knew what was coming.

As the slow-burning spark between them ignites, Olympus takes notice—and they're determined to kill Gabe to punish Cora and reclaim the power she's fought so hard to keep.

Now, Cora must guard Gabe with her life—or risk tearing the heavens apart trying.

Content warning: CORA features a goddess who enjoys bad language, romance, and sexual situations. Although Cora is the same goddess as Persephone four thousand years earlier in A.L. Hawke's Cora: Rise of the Fallen Goddess, this contemporary urban fantasy is suited for an adult audience.

I received a free copy of this book via the Author and am voluntarily leaving a review. I have been a big fan of Greek Mythology for many many years. One of the biggest things I appreciated was the way that the Author was able to incorporate it throughout the book. The main character Cora is something else. At times she is crazy, conniving, immature but when you really learn her story you will understand why. The Author was able to develop her character so well that I was able to learn to care for her. I truly enjoyed this book very much. I loved it so much that I also ordered the paperback copy to add to my bookshelf book collection.

Loved the book! This book truly has it all! Cora is spontaneous, a bit crazy and truly knows how to have a good time. The excitement just keeps coming. This is definitely one of those “can’t put it down” books. A must read.
